L’isolamento domestico dei malati lievi non è la soluzione

Xiao Ning, ricercatore del Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, intervistato da BNN Bloomberg, sito canadese, dice che l’Italia dovrebbe seguire il modello cinese per l’isolamento dei malati lievi: non a casa, ma in strutture dedicate e sorvegliate. Nell’articolo si cita uno studio cinese che affermerebbe che l’80% dei contagi sarebbe causato da chi è in isolamento domestico.

Doctors in Wuhan made the same error early on in the outbreak, said Liang Zong’An, head of the respiratory department at the West China Hospital at Sichuan University. While seriously ill patients were admitted to hospitals, doctors at the time recommended that those with mild symptoms isolate themselves at home, in part to reduce the strain on Wuhan’s overburdened health care system.
